The RMY Legal team is very pleased to be back in the office after working from home during COVID. Although many of us enjoyed moving our workplace into our homes, it is great to return to the office environment.

We are all pleased to be reconnecting with colleagues, our clients and friends of RMY; the reception desk has been busy with many visitors. Although we’re still at Level 1, we are keen to maintain hygiene precautions in the office; hand sanitiser is now a firm fixture.

As life returns to a new normal, it has been important to reflect on the past few months and acknowledge the successes that came from a challenging time for every New Zealander.

Like all businesses, we had minimal time to prepare for operating the firm from the safety of home; we’re very proud how well everyone coped.

“Client enquiries and legal matters were managed via Skype, on the phone and by email. We became experts at Zoom for our regular in-house meetings. It was reassuring to find that the partners, staff and management had the skills and platforms required to help our clients and successfully achieve business outcomes within these constraints,” says practice manager, Patti Wolfsbauer.

“Everyone did an exceptional job with the demands of home life and work, and the uncertainties around the whole lockdown period. We are all so proud of the RMY Legal team.”

Supporting Taranaki

Working from home and not having to commute highlighted the many wonderful benefits that living in the Taranaki region has to offer us all.

“Surfing, beaches, cafes and restaurants, mountain walks and the arts were all activities that were missed by many. It has been lovely to enjoy some of these activities again,” says Patti. “Now we’re in Level 1, we’re all doing our best to support local businesses and the community at every opportunity, and to strengthen and create new connections within the region.”

RMY Legal is proud to be a part of the Taranaki community. COVID has caused much to change in business, and there are significant challenges ahead for us all. If you would like to talk with us about how your business has fared, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
